My love for tattooing started when I was just a kid. I remember seeing the classic naked-lady tattoo on my uncle, done by East Coast Al, and something in me just lit up. I was hooked long before tattoos hit mainstream TV, long before Ink Master, LA Ink, or even the Sailor Jerry spiced rum boom.Tattoos were part of a world that felt raw, honest, and full of stories
Over the years, I've looked up to artists like Paul Booth, Myke Chambers, Sailor Jerry, and Jacob Doney. Their styles, work ethic, and legacy inspire me every day. But the people who influence me the most are the mentors I get to work beside now; Big Mike Paquette and Joel Jenkins.
My journey into tattooing wasn't straightforward. Back in 2007, I applied for an apprenticeship at Aftershock. It didn't line up at the time, so I trained elsewhere and kept grinding. Four years ago, everything came full circle, I was lucky enough to join the team at one of the best and most respected tattoo shops in Kansas City. Being here has pushed my craft, expanded my versatility, and fueled my drive to keep growing as an artist.
